Glock clone .22lr?

Yup, why buy a conversion kit when you could just buy the whole damn thing. My LGS had one recently I was eyeing up in the $300 ballpark

Some are good and some are bad.

General consensus...
It's a plinker, not a target shooter.
It's basically a modified Walther P22 in a cloned Glock frame.
The Walther P22 has better accuracy and reliability.

Blaster-grade 9mm ammo is 17 cents per round.

.22 rimfire non-junk ammo is 6 cents per round.

Savings: 11 cents per round.

Based on Gunbroker prices listed for the ISSC gun, you would recoup the cost of the ISSC gun after about 2200 rounds of .22 rimfire.

Now, what would you rather do?
Shoot 2200 rounds of real 9mm in a real Glock, or play around with a simulated Glock in rimfire caliber for 2200 rounds?

I already own a nice .22 rimfire "plinker" pistol, so I don't need another plinker.

Based on reviews I've seen on other sites, I have my doubts about the ISSC gun as a quality substitute for the Glock as a trainer.

you are right. And not just that you save money, but you can enjoy shooting with a lot less noise and recoil. Put some super colibri ammo in it and you can do some backyard shooting

Saw one at my local gun shop. Appears to be well built. The salesman stated that it was single action and was therefore better to get a conversion kit for training purposes.

For me, the numbers run more like $0.20 per shot for 9mm and $0.03 per shot for .22lr. For me that puts it at right around 3 bulk pack of ammo to be paid off. Personally, 3 bulk packs is about 2-3 range sessions so it isn't that much of a stretch. I doubt it is a good representation as a glock substitute but 1500 rounds of .22lr in a fun autoloader goes fast.

Issc m22 very good gun when fed good ammo. I have around 2000 rounds in mine since i bought it 3 weeks ago. Very fun and cheap to shoot . Cci mini mag, blazer , and federal bulk no problems what so ever , other stuff dont eject all the time. All in all good gun. M&p 15-22 awwwsome gun.

Because the conversion kit makes for a much better trainer. I have other 22 LR pistols that are better than this or the conversion kit if I simply want to shoot 22 LR. However, I want a gun I can use as a trainer, and a conversion is much better for my purposes.

Bounced between a conversion kit and this. It was cheap enough at JG to take a chance. Shot about 250 rounds through it, some Stingers and Bulk Federal. No issues with it. Is it truly a Glock clone? No, and I didn't buy it expecting it to be one. The trigger feels different and the grip is thinner, but it fits my GF's hand better than a full size Glock, and she can shoot this while I shoot my regular caliber Glocks, and we can switch without having to wait for a Glock to be free. The grip also doesn't feel non-existent like a P22. Heard it fits XD holster better than a Glock holster. Haven't put it on paper yet but didn't really seem to have a problem hitting the steel plate.

I have a sour taste leftover concerning conversion slides recently which is why I went with a whole gun. Though with a Glock conversion, since they are all made by Glock, I would expect them to work better than the 1911 conversion slide I purchased and sold.

I may be wrong, but I don't think Glock makes a .22 conversion at all. Ciener makes them, but the better ones are made by Advantage Arms.

Yes Ciener and Advantage Arms are ones I have for conversion, I prefer the AA...

I use the 40 grn ammo no hollowpoint in the Ciener always or else you have problems with it functioning correctly... AA can use both, hp 36 and 40 grain...I stick with the 40 as a rule... But do have some 36 hp because I use it in my S&W 22A which I really like...

I've been toying with the idea of getting one of the ISSC M-22's(There's a shop that sells them locally for $235) but I'm not comfortable its going to run with any reliability and I'd hate that
From the reviews and on-line buzz, M22's are ammo picky to plain unreliable...btw: The factory recommend ammo is CCI Stinger...??? Why bother, might as well shoot 9mm for the price off that stuff.

Get'em while you can....I saw a blurb in one of the gun rags that Glock sued them because of the resemblance. ISSC agreed to make changes in the settlement.
