Going to buy 1000 rds of 9mm...which to get

I've shot all three. I would go with the fiocchi or the lawman. I dislike the american eagle.

What's wrong with American Eagle? I don't shoot it much because it supposedly uses relatively soft primers and I prefer hard primers to continually test my gun's primer strikes, but it seems like pretty good ammo to me.

If you're going to be shooting indoor, go wit the lawman, it is loaded with non toxic primers and TMJ bullets.

All Lawman loads use TMJ bullets these days, but I think that only the "Clean-Fire" version of Lawman uses non-toxic primers.

The Walmarts around here will only let you purchase 6 boxes of ammo at a time. Does not matter if 3 are 22 and three are .223 that be six total.

Post #2 valorius... you are very right here. This is the reason that foreign made ammo can cause damage to small polymer mouse guns. Ruger had several LCPs returned due to damage from non SAAMI ammo. S&W manual for the new Bodyguard.380 states the same... use ONLY SAAMI spec ammo. I don't care for Fiocchi... too dirty and hard primers. If possible, stick with American made and shop around for lower prices.

On another forum, we are doing a group buy ... 9mm 1000 rounds with shipping for $175 to 180 (factory reloads)
I am in for 1000 :) Being that the delivery is fairly local, I will go and pick mine up where it is being shipped to.

Just go to Wal-mart and get 20 boxes of Federal Champion red box for 180 bucks.

+1

I have found this to be very good quality ammo, and the price can't be beat. No sense in paying more than you have to for practice ammo. If you want to spend $300, buy another 12 boxes of Federal :D

Or Fed 115 9mm at Wallyworld for $9.47 per 50.
Less than $200 depending on your state tax rate.
What's no to like

Call me insensitive, but I can not tell the difference between most 115gr and 124gr ammo, even when I fire them back to back from the same magazine.

Also, correct me if I am wrong, but I believe Fiocchi is American made? I know I have some pheasant loads for my 12 ga that are.

Ok, maybe just some of it is...From http://www.fiocchiusa.com/FAQ.html:

Where are Fiocchi products made?

We have a manufacturing plant in Ozark, Missouri, where we load both shotshell and centerfire ammunition. We also import centerfire ammunition, reloading components, match grade rimfire ammunition and specialty/obsolete loads from our parent company in Italy. All products are loaded to either C.I.P. or SAAMI specifications.

+1 for the reloading reply. You can load up whatever grain bullet you want to whatever velocity you want and have it any time you want and have 2 to 3 times as much for the same price even with 9mm. For rifle you can have 4 to 5 times as much, sometimes even more. And you never have to worry about whether it's available at the big box store either!:D
