Went to range today, zero'd some M4's, did some 5-15 meter CQC shooting with M4 and M9. Invited the Germans to come play and let them shoot our M4, M9, M240 and M203 with training rounds. At the end, I got to put a mag through the G36.
The G36 is a very nice weapon. It felt lighter than the M4 and also felt more controllable in burst. It has 2 sights. A red dot scope on top and a low power scope with circle type reticule below it combined in one unit. Acquiring the sight was a little slow, they are kinda smallish. It would be better to just put an illuminated dot in the low power scope and have one bigger sight IMO. I owned a full size silhouette target from standing at 50m and 75m. Overall, great weapon.
Sorry, no pics...I was running the range, so I wasn't in "combat tourist" mode. I think they enjoyed my German/English fire commands "Shooters ready, zwie to the body, eins kopf"..."FEIND!" ("feind", means enemy...in english I say "threat" and the shooters fire the prescribed # of shots)
