275 rounds of .22 down range $5.50

Meeting good people at the range PRICELESS!

Had a great day at the range today. Met a young man who was getting ready to go into RANGER school. He was there with an ex-Marine sniper who has been working on teaching him to shoot a rifle. The kid was good. He was driving tacks with a .30-06.

Both men were good people. We are in good hands with the young man entering Ranger School. He was a very polite young man. He let me squeeze of a round of his 06, I think the one I have been eyeing will be coming home soon. BTW, I drilled it dead center of the target (then he put 4 rounds on top)

When I moved down to the pistol range I invited them to join me a let the kid shoot my guns. They did, he shot had a huge smile on his face. That made me feel good.

This is why I enjoy shooting & other outdoor sports.

But it gets better, I get home & while clean the guns I tell my wife any time your ready to go. I have been trying to get her the range for a while. She is a typical person who has never really shot or been around guns until I brought them home.

Well she said she was ready, so back to the range tomorrow I go, but this time it is all about introducing her & letting her experience that shooting is FUN!

I figure I’ll take the P22, 9MM & S&W 686 (w/ .38 special) and let her pick what to shoot. I did run to Waltmart & pick up some of the orange peel targets, so she can see what she hits!

Wish me luck.

Awesome, I love days like that.

Congrats on getting your wife to the range, just remember to make sure SHE has fun and not worry much about yourself.

UPDATE>>>>>

We just gt back from the range & lunch. She had a blast. Started with the 22 to get her used to the triiger & slight recoil ect.
She was board with that quick & wanted to move the other guns. She fired the 9mm well, but then we moved to the 686.

See results below (I think I just lost my Smith)

She is hoohed, she spent the evening calling her friends & family (after emailing pics)

The best part is she has invited a friend to go next week.

Yes I have definatley lost my SMITH. Oh Well, they will make more.

One more on our side.

Way to go, Sir!

Congratulations and thanks for the warm pink fuzzies x2

Congrats! My Fiance was the same way, she keeps trying to confiscate my AR but that ain't happening. Ill have to build her one before its over with...

Day two for my wife at the range.

Of Course onece again she had a blast. This ones gonna cost me.

The guy shooting next to use let her shoot his Browning Buckmark with a red dot sight. I have wanted on of those & now she does too.

We were there for about two hours & three people on the line let her try out there guns. So she got to shhot some different stuff.

On the way home she commented on how nice every one was and about how they let her shoot there guns.

I laughed, as I told her that doesn't happen as much when I go with the guys.

Regaurdless, she is hooked & I see many more range trips in the future.

Now time to get that Buckmark :)
