I thought I was getting a GREAT deal at $249 a week or so ago.
I did get the extra $20 off and free shipping thanks to Malachi Leviticus Blue and his FROSTY promo so I do not feel quite so bummed.
The Cabela's picture does not do it justice. The blue is deep and the case is alive with colors. Rich dark brown (not orange or tan) stocks. Only three clicks but smooth and tight.
I'm happy, just sorry I can't buy another. Steel frames at brass frame prices, wow!
I ended up ordering up another even though I don't need another 1860, you can never have too many. I live near Cabela's so I just had it shipped there to save me shipping cost. I haven't even shot my Taylor's Dragoon yet...
Wow, that's a pretty good deal. I've been keeping my eye on a few for a while. I love that it comes with the extra cylinder.
I'd love to make this my first BP firearm. But alas I cannot purchase it. Looking for a new job, anything really, current hours are non existent.
Sadly when I finally have the funds, I'm sure this great deal will be over.
It's already over. That's the thing about these Cabelas sales - Thanksgiving to New Years they have all kinds of sales on Pietta revolvers but sometimes they're just for a day or two. You have to keep an eye on it and keep track of coupons and know what's the lowest price they've been recently to know when to pounce.
Yeah, I had to bite on that deal. One of my Christmas gift cards covered a quarter of it. The finish is so much better than the 1858 Army I bought last time - deep blue, nice CH. It had the spare cylinder instead of the accessories. I would have preferred the accessories, since i don't plan to shoot this one.
It is almost like we need an ongoing thread about Cabelas Pietta super sales, promo codes, etc.. Otherwise by the time most of us find out about them, they are gone, as in long gone.
Thanks for the notice on the sale. I jumped all over the 1860 Army with spare cylinder for $199 and a 1858 Remington with spare cylinder for $219 (I had a $20 coupon, as well).
One day later and the sale was over.
