New grips look spectacular! First thing I did when I got my Hi-Power Mk.II was to take off those factory grips and put some Pachmayrs on! I do have some nicer grips for it but somehow those old Pachmayrs just look and feel right to me (kind of like they're industrial strength grips)!

Thanks Bannock!

While I admit that Pach/Hogue grips feel good, I just can’t handle the looks of them. To me, they rob the beauty and soul of a gun. But I don’t judge others. We all have our likes and dislikes. And I definitely understand putting performance before beauty. After all, I’m guilty of uglyfy-ing a few of my pistols with cheap skateboard tape. I do plan on remedying those abortions though when I get the wherewithal.

No artistic skills with a camera here.
19 posts with no Colt wheelguns, so.

Colt display-30s thru 70s- representing the double action and Woodsman lines.
I feel that putting up this display and others is as close as I can come to sharing with strangers, especially for the folks that say 'Thanks, I enjoyed seeing these'.

Worn terrycloth gun rag backdrop for this closer photo of the pre-war Officers Model Targets.
Top down -.38 Spec., .32 Long, and .22LR.
The target stocks on the .22 have since been corrected with a proper, albeit non-matching, set of stocks. The pistol itself was too nice to pass on.

Use of carpet remnant and lighting skillfully managed to hide the luster of the Colt blueing on these Officers Model Match revolvers. Top down - .38 Spec., .22 Magnum, and .22LR.

Nice collection!

bannockburn,

I don’t hear many people talking about how nice the triggers on those SR9s are. In my experience it’s maybe not the lightest but the feel is perfect to me. A subcompact like yours would be on my list if I wasn’t already planning on getting an S9A1 to fill that role.

Here’s some bonus Steyr. It’s easy enough for me to carry a full size like this. The same pattern but with less slide and grip would be a breeze.

In terms of striker fired triggers, the one on my SRc is one of the best factory ones I have ever tried! Smooth take-up, light release, and a short reset make it really user friendly and along with the great sights, very accurate.

I also have a Steyr, though it's an older M9. Got it because I loved the grip design, the trapezoidal sights, and it also had a decent trigger on it; not quite as nice as the SR9c but good enough for most applications.
