Gents:

Does anyone have any experience with a company called Hardened Arms? They appear to build a lot of their AR stuff in-house and their pricing is very reasonable. Any helpful input? Thanks!

300 BO pistol upper

I recently purchased one of their 10.5 in 300 BO pistol uppers to go on a lower. It seems to be well done to me. I have only put ~250 or so rounds down it so far but no problems. They were also very easy to deal with, I bought it off gunbroker but called them to give my FFL info. The person who did the internet sales was out sick the day I called, and they were very apologetic about that, but they gave me the email to send the license to, and he called me promptly the next day and said it was all good and shipped it quickly. So in my limited experience they are GTG.

Thanks man! It's tricky when one is buying something over the internet, item unseen. There's so many "gun" retailers nowadays that it's difficult to get an opinion on some of the more obscure ones.

have a 300 BO pistol upper from them. Had it for about 6 months before taking it out to shoot. Took it out and it kept jamming up with failure to go into battery. The bolt would get completely stuck. Happened every 10 rounds or so.

Turns out I forgot to lube it. After lubing it worked fine.

I understand, I was a little worried when I ordered but the price was good so I went for it and it has worked out well. Forgot to mention the upper I bought was without BCG and CH, so I went with Aero precision for those and as I said no issues.

I have two uppers from Hardened arms: 15 inch 7.62x39 and 10.5 inch 300 blackout. Both are flawless after several hundred rounds. Yes, you must lube them.

Very true. Especially with the plethora of generic AR "builders" that have cropped up seemingly overnight. There's no magic to building an AR upper. Use quality parts and it practically goes together on its own.

One thing that annoys me, is when these small companies offer lifetime warranties, then go out of business a year later....:banghead:

LOL....That's always my concern. I have a different product backed up by a "rock solid lifetime guarantee". Tried to enforce it, but the company is now gone!

As for AR "builders", I have to think that there's not a lot of magic to it. Harden appears to make their own barrels in house and and long as they have the right attitude and do things correctly, I'm sure they put out a quality product.
