I've never been 'made' while carrying, AFAIK.
I've only had one traffic stop while I was carrying. Here in TX, if you get stopped, you have to hand them your CHL when you hand them your DL and Ins. Incidentally the stop was b/c I had two registration stickers on my windshield. And I did give the officer a little attitude while explaining I wasn't gonna risk one of my acrylic nails getting broken while trying to peel off the old sticker and promised to go to the mechanic shop and have them scrape it off as soon as I got back home. He never asked to see or even hold my pistol. And he seemed a bit taken aback by my PMSing about my nails. Maybe his wife gives him the same attitude.
My favorite story, tho happened about 2.5 months ago. I tripped and broke my nose on a curb outside a storefront about 3AM. I called 911 b/c I was dizzy and shaky. I gave the 911 dispatcher my husband's # and asked her to call him while I waited for the ambo. The 1st folks to get there were 2 THP officers. I explained to them that I had a CHL and was carrying and asked if that would be a problem if I got in the ambo or in the ER. They just told me not to worry about it and to sit back down and stay still. Yeah, guys, thanks for thinkiing of my health first and for being Sweeties.
