Have you ever opened a new handgun/longarm on Xmas morning?

Yes. In my teen years,) think mid '60s), I got a win mod '94 (.30-30)rifle. It has a 24" octagon barrel.
The next year I got a Ruger standard .22.
Three years ago I got a Garand for my 60th birthday. Just thought I'd throw that in. :D

Yes, just once. From Me to Me. A Savage 22 over 20 gauge. It was a great gift and my wife still laughs about it.

Sometime back in the 80s, my wife gave me a mint condition Winchester M1 carbine that she knew I had been lusting for.

Many, many years ago my parents gave me a Remington 870 12 ga. I have many great memories involving that shotgun. I still have it and would never consider getting rid of it.

This year was a sw1911sc. It was actually a check from my Grandmother saying to buy myself something nice, so I did and wrapped up the gun myself.

20 some odd years ago, my Dad and I were each given a University of Montana stamped Shiloh Sharps rifle consequentially serial numbered. I have both of those rifles now.

I have, and I have purchased my wife a Christmas gun as well.

My Dad gave me a 10/22 in the 70's, which I still have, and which remains a favorite memory.

No, . . . never got a firearm or even a BB gun at Xmas as a kid. I did get my first BB gun and 22 rifle on my birthdays though.
A few days before the buying panic started in Dec 2012 I bought a new Ruger 10/22 take down .22 rifle. Kind of a Christmas present to myself. It was the last one they had on the shelves and was priced very reasonably. Like most people, I didn't imagine how tight the supply of .22 ammo would become, or I would have bought cases of the stuff back then.

Yes on quite a few Christmas mornings. Mostly shotguns for hunting and a couple of handguns over the years.
