Dr. Tad... I'm not sure where you live, but in texas, hogs are destructive, and many "farmers" don't want to deal with the coordination of 45 hunting groups when one day in the helicopters will kill just as many pigs.
Maybe these "idiot" farmers are paying for this because the hogs will destroy 30X more in crops that what the costs are to kill them like this.
Maybe "smart" farmers would spend months of coordination, deal with dozens of people coming onto their land, introducing the liability of these hunts, and killing MAYBE the same number of pigs, if they're lucky or a 2-3 month period, while the hogs continue to destroy crops in the meantime.
as for it not being "sporting or ethical", I'm always glad to see people that are ready to determine what ethics are for everyone....
