Okay, I may be crazy or misled so please explain to me where I'm thinking wrong.....I just bought a BCA 410 shotgun complete upper like this one (20 inch barrel and has a 15 inch handguard). It has a short weaver-style rail on the front end of the handguard and I'm thinking it'd be perfect to have a weaver-mount bead sight or fiberoptic front sight atop it for quick acquisition. But I can't find one anywhere and that always means that one of my assumptions is wrong or someone else would already be making it. There are obviously lots of magnetic fiberoptic sights for shotgun barrels, and there are AR front sights with weaver bases, but I want something more secure than the magnetic bases and I think an AR front sight would be too tall. Thoughts? Does anyone know where to find what I think I want or otherwise can you tell me where I'm thinking wrong? (setting aside that I bought an AR-style 410 to begin with....yes I may be crazy, but I thought it would be fun).

Right now I've just got a red dot on it. Should I just stay with that?

That bad eh? Well, I admit I know absolutely nothing about shotguns. I'll stay with the red dot for now.

But tell me this; am I correct in believing that I shouldn't shoot 410 slugs through this thing without removing the full choke?
