My most accurate Sport Pistol loads are the same as what I used to load with W231. However, the powder is less temperature sensitive, safe for coated bullets, and burns extremely clean.
I've never seen any issue of temp sensitivity with W231 and it burns plenty clean to suit me. I've not tried it with PC bullets yet but have not fear of it working just fine when I get around to it.

help me pick a new 9mm powder to try , this will be used for target shooting / paper punching / range fun / 115 or 124 gr. it is nice to have the shelves full of powder so I ready to try some others, I have been using HS-6 so what say you guys ? ,
I've been using Accurate Arms #7 for years in 9mm, works quite well for me with 115 and 124 gr loads.

Most powders work just fine with coated bullets, but that was a great marketing idea by someone, I hope they got a big bonus. I assume that Sport Pistol is no or low Nitro content since they are touting it as formulated for coated bullets. Like many other powders. And even though Titegroup is knocked for using with lead or coated, many people use it and like it just fine. I like low or no Nitro content powders in general.

The the best I can establish, Sport Pistol is 10% nitroglycerin, W231 is 20% and Titegroup is 40%.

I just finished shooting some 380's and 9mm today that had been loaded with AA#2. This was my first go with the powder and in all honesty I am quite impressed. I have been using AA#5, HP-38 and Ramshot Silhouette with mostly HP-38 in the 9mm and the Silhouette in the 380. I bought 2 pounds to start with and I'll be buying more.
