Last week I sold my Ruger GP-100. At the time I thought it was a good idea, but now I am already missing it. So I guess I am in the market for a new revolver. The revolver will be primarily a range gun. I guess it would also be nice for field use also. So here are my thoughts. I know that I do not want another GP for the simple fact that this is a chance to try something new. I am cosdering the following peices, a S&W 686. A Taurus .357 Tracker Ti to compliment my 85. A .45 ACP revolver, I am open to suggestions on this choice. Or a Single action Revolver probabli in .357 as it would be the cheapest to shoot. Please let me know what you would all suggest even if it is a diffrent gun. Thanks Juan.

I would give thought to a Ruger BH single action with dual cylinders. 45 LC and 45 ACP. The Taurus Tracker in 45 ACP is a good choice in a DA revolver.

I have to agree on the Ruger with 45LC and 45ACP cylinders, saw one recently and kinda wish my old BH 357 was a 45 with convertible cylinders. Ruger SA's do make nice range and hunting guns

See, and that's exactly why I won't trade my 4" GP-100. I know I would miss it as soon as the deal was done.

Single action -
Ruger Bisley Vaquero in .357
Bisley in .357 or .45
Blackhawk in either

Double action -
Hit the nail on the head with a Smith 686. No arguement there.

Thanks guys for all the great suggestion, I am now heavilly leaning towards a 686. Now the question is should I get the 4" or 6" barrel, and should I get the 6 or 7 round gun? Is the extra round worth the extra money? Please let me know what you guys think I very much appreciate all the advice. By the way my GP100 was the 4" barrel. Thanks again Juan.
