I need help picking out a duty belt for work. I won't have to be carrying a taser or baton. Only a handgun in a safariland holster, double mag pouch, handcuff pouch, small-ish led light holder/ring, and oc spray.

My two considerations are a thicker gun belt by crossbreed and the us grunt gear cobra outer belt with velcro inner belt. I currently have their 1 and 1/4 in belt and love it and was just going to upgrade to their 1 and 1/2 in belt. I've only watched a few videos on youtube about the us grunt gear belt and read a few reviews, but it seems pretty solid.

If it makes a difference, my issued holster is the safariland mid ride level II. I believe the model is 6280.

Thanks for the help.

I'll primarily be in an office, court room, and a car.

I've used enough belts, and have been doing this long enough, to have developed some strong preferences. To my back, especially while sitting in a car, the completely unnecessary thickness and stiffness of most belts is a real pain, literally, as they dig into your back and push it forward. The cheapo Uncle Mike's inner belt is about as thin as they get, especially with no buckle or loop-backs in the front. Likewise, the London Bridge duty belts are nice and thin, too. I have no complaints about sturdiness/rigidity with this set-up.

I cringe when I see guys packing cuff cases or any gear, really, on the backs of their belts. It's murder on your back when you're sitting down, and in a rear-end collision or rearward fall, you're inviting injury. I'm at the point I don't even use keepers back there, as I can feel them digging in when seated.

You can spend a fortune on this stuff, nice leather gear, Accumold this, whatever. Give me this $50 set up everytime...
