Didn't they already have the Long Ranger? Is this a Long Ranger with internal hammer that takes Stanag mags, or more of a change?
Or a lever action company doing what they do best?Looks like the manufacturers are getting scared and bringing out guns that they hope won’t be covered by an assault weapon ban.

I am the weird camp. It seems as gun makers are striving to bring out new models that are a just a little different something on an old platform.
How about a revolver/semi auto company bringing out a lever action? #S&W. I'm with Speedo 66 on this paranoia.Or a lever action company doing what they do best?
Henry already makes a similar lever action like this with a flush fit proprietary 5rd box magazine. This version lets us use standard STANAG pattern magazines which is a nice perk for this model. You can also use one of the short 10rd magazines and that will be moderately close/short for easier carry. Not to mention once you have a good suppressor out there on the muzzle the balance point it likely going to be just ahead of the magazine.Ruins the best feature of a lever gun: the narrow reciever for one-hand, under-the-belly carry. Might as well have a bolt with that mag sticking down.
