Ran across some Heritage .22/.22mag. SA's on Gunbroker for less than $300 and wondering how these are.The grips look great since Ruger seem to have down scaled to the black checkered ones. Anyone out there have a Heritage, and do you like it?

Yes I have one.Traded a beagle pup for it about 4 years ago.Shoots great have no problem with it at all.I said it shoots great it shoots as accurate as my hunting partners colt .22 single action. and mine has a mag cylinder.Seems like you can still buy new ones for 199.00 maybe price has gone up since I last checked.

Look around, you should be able to find them for less than $200.00 and closer to $150.00. For three hundred you can find a Ruger Single-Six which is easily twice the gun as the Heritage.

Not knocking the Heritage, it is what it is, a good old fashioned cheap gun.

Love mine, and I love the fact that I don't have to worry about it getting beat up as much as if I had a ruger single six.... not that I wouldn't love a single six. My experience, and most people's is that Heritages are a lot of bang for the buck. Mine's even got a very nice trigger.... I wish I had the high viz adjustable sights. The main downside is that it's frame is made of alloy, not steel, but Ruger Mk III's and Buckmarks are made of alloys and plastics too.

Wife bought two at Academy Sports for $99 each without the mag cylinder. I think they offered the extra cylinder for $25 by mail. Both guns have fixed sights and were fairly accurate. We wanted a 22 to go with our rifles.
