high power- to cant or not to cant, that is the question

i find holding the rifle straight (i shot prone with sling) its not all that comfertable especially on the wrist, should i cant. i dont need to on sporting rifles, its just when im usin the sling in highpower.

thoughts appreciated.

Steve (from what I've read) has tons more competitive rifle experience than I do. I have found, though, that the same holds true for precision rifle as well as pistol in this regard: If you do tend to cant the rifle, it really doesn't matter--as long as you do it EXACTLY the same way, shot after shot.
 
I cant with both highpower and smallbore rifles--more in standing, though, than other positions. Less wobble when the inner ears are not tilted sideways. Tipped a bit nose-down to see the sights makes little difference.

Sitting RF continues to be a challenge. I'll probably wind up with more cant than in standing, but that's because you make the shooter fit the Service Rifle, rather than making the rifle fit the shooter.

Just be consistent and keep good notes on your zeros.
