Hilarious ammo price of the week

Wow. I knew that prices were way up but this is incredible. $20. a round for Remington Sluggers ?? I'm also set for slug rounds thanks to things like the NY SAFE act from 2013. Stocked up back then because I figured even if that sort of stuff were available it would cost a lot more in the future due to demand and the fears of it becoming taxed VERY heavily. Still got a few hundred rounds of Sabot slugs for my fully rifled slug gun and a couple hundred (at least) rounds of rifled slugs. Will use those to help out friends. Gave a few boxes to my 78 yr. old friend whose land I have a blind and a ladder stand on. He doesn't hunt as much as he used to and was out of slugs this year and they can't be found locally. I was glad to be able to help him. Not out to be a "scalper". It's nice being able to help out those you care about. IMG_0300.JPG .... IMG_0302.JPG .
 
And her I am looking for 20mm Lahti rounds for my coworkers newest toy. He said if anybody wants to buy the ammo they can shoot it, but he keeps the brass. I can’t even imagine reloading for the Lahti to be as crazy as the slugs in the first post are.

I’ve considered it. I could spare 5,000 primers and probably never notice it. I’ve got ammo cans of 5.56 and .30-06 ammo that I have been sitting for years and is probably a 20 year supply at the rate I shoot it. On some level it seems irrational to not sell it. But then again you never know how long it’ll be until you can find the stuff at a reasonable price. I don’t need the money right now and it’s a pain to sell the stuff so it’ll probably just sit and gather dust.
 
Only ammo im tempted to sell is for a firearm I dont own. 5.7x28, but the price keeps going on and regular resupplys aren't common. I know I could easily double what I paid but I still want a ruger 57. Just waiting for those to come down

Ten years ago .416 Rigby Federal premium was above $250/20.
 
I've given up for now, even oddball calibers like 7.5 Swiss and such is through the roof and even 7.62x54r for my Mosins are past .50 a shot now, luckily I have a decent stash to get me by for a while except a couple calibers , gonna focus more on clay shotgun shooting for a bit and less handgun and rifle
