So there I was at a gun shop, minding my own business, when an HK P2000 had the audacity to just jump into my hand. I thought it pointed very well, felt right in the hand, smooth operation...I'm liking it. Then it came to a screeching halt with the god awful 40lb double action trigger pull which seemed to get heavier as it went along. I really liked this gun, but they didn't have any with the LEM trigger for me to try. How does this trigger feel...length, weight, reset?

LEMs are cool. Longish initial pull that's quite light, goes bang. If you hold the trigger in, it's like single action thereafter. Great reset. Nicest trigger I've ever shot on an HK next to a P7.

It's not the easiest thing to describe, but I like to think of the LEM as having a trigger like an SAO, but with a lot/a long take up.

The first part of the trigger pull is quite light, it's lighter than any other DAO type pull that I've ever tried. Once you get to the end of the pull though, the weight ramps up quickly to 7-8lbs or so. It's easy for me to stage the pull and treat that last bit like an SA pull.

The reset point is longer than a Glock's, but shorter than a SIG DAK. Once you hit that point, if you start your next pull, you are just about right at the heavy break point of the sear.

If your round fails to go off, and you decide to use the gun's second strike capability, be prepared! If you think the DA pull of a DA/SA P2000 is 40lbs, then this second strike pull is closer to 100 (just kidding, but it is heavy).

I just picked up a P2000 LEM

The trigger pulls back with almost no resistance, then right before it breaks it's a 4-5 pound CRISP break..Mine is very accurate..I actually like it better than Glock and Sig triggers..I never tried a DAK so I can't compare that one..My Sigs are tradional DA/SA..

Don't like it.

A friend was going to sell me an HkP2sk and the trigger was too heavy. I ended up focusing more on the trigger than the sights. They're are truly made for LEOs.

Just sharing my experience.
