For the most part, do you fancy yourself a rifleman, a shotgunner, or a handgunner?

Though I have all types, I am mostly a rifleman. This is reflected in the proportion of rifles in my collection and (hopefully ) my better skill with a rifle compared with handguns and shotguns. How about the rest of you?

Started with rifles, wasn't very good with a pistol. As I picked up skill with a pistol, so did my interest. Didn't understand the shotgun thing until I broke a few clays, then it clicked. I've settled on liking anything that burns gunpowder...

Shotgunner

I do most of my hunting and recreational shooting with one. After that it’s a tie between handguns and rim-fire rifles. I don’t shoot center fire rifles much; maybe once a year.

I'll shoot anything I can get my hands on.

I may not shoot well but I'll take the trigger time any chance I get.

All round. I started hunting when I was eight [1953]

I've shot a lot of diferent types of competition.
Trap, Benchrest, Muzzle Loading [rifle & pistol], Silhouettes [.22 Rifle& pistol], USPSA, IDPA, Sporting Clays, Bianchi Cup, Speed Steel and Bullseye.

Shot a lot of prairie dogs and groundhogs.

Never a top contender but always a threat. Sometimes I actually won a little money or a trophy.

I voted EO though I don't shoot my shotguns all that much. I really enjoy rifle shooting most but have way more opportunities to shoot handguns.

I'm a pretty good shot with whatever rifle or revolver I pick up, though my new short-barreled Security Six is a handful that I have yet to master. I'm ok with semi-auto pistols and was proficient with an M-16 when I had to be. I'm gonna try my hand at IDPA, but I'm more inclined to managing range safety and teaching others than competitive shooting.

I don't really know if I could successfully hit clays, but I'm looking forward to trying.

All round shooter. Shot a lot of skeet in the past. Also Pistol shooting ( local competition in college) Rifle competition for many years. Now i just compete with my Bifocals.:uhoh:

I don't set the woods on fire with any thing...I just like shooting. Before I posted I did a quick count. There are six centerfire rifles. There are four .22's. There are four handguns and five 12 ga. guns. That is good spread. When its time to shoot, I can find something to fit in with.:D

Starting at about eight: Rifles. Then Shotguns. Then Pistols. Then Shotguns. Then Revolvers. Then Shotguns. Then Pistols. Then Rifles. Then... ...well I'm 53 and on a revolver kick right now...

The sad thing is that I love shooting shotguns the most but have always been a very mediocre clay target shooter. I get much better results with rifles and handguns even though I enjoy them less than shotguns.

I am a reasonably competent handgunner.
I was once a reasonably competent rifleman, although I am 15 years out of practice..I believe I could fairly quickly re-attain that level of competence.
I was once a recreational shotgunner, 20 years or so ago. I currently own a shotgun but I would not hunt or shoot it at any range beyond room distance without further parctice.

Myself, I shoot all three platforms extremely well, I started shooting in the 50's as a kid . Hunting, plinking, then entered the military, then entered law enforcement, became a firearm instructor have participated in many competitions. Became a handloader as a result of the amount of shooting I was doing.

Handguns by far. 99% of my shooting and 100% of my training has been with handguns. I've never even shot a rifle at a range that went beyond 50 yards and my most expensive rifle cost $130, I think. Unless my 10/22 was more, I don't even remember.

I, personally, enjoy shooting shotguns the most...But I also think that rifles, sub clappers and pistols have their place. I'm definately an equal opportunity shooter, they all have their purpose.

I am 6'0", 170 lbs an have a shaved head. I am bi-lingual, 35 yrs old and Liberal in my political views. I frequently shoot handguns in competition, but also like to shoot rifles. I own two dogs, two cats, and some various houseplants. I am married with a child. I drive a Nissan car, and a Yamaha scooter. I enjoy running marathons, and drinking good beer. (no bud miller, crap like that) As far as accuracy in shooting, well, I'ma ccurate enough to keep going back to the range. That sums it up.
