My favorite Glock setup goes like this:

Glock 17 9mm (2nd generation style frame)
Meprolite night sights
Extended slide release
Extended mag release
Plug
Everything else stock and nothing more...

I never knew how much nicer a Glock feels without the finger grooves, and I don't need no stinkin' light rail neither!

Now if I can only find a Glock 19 set up the same way... :D

My first couple looked like Arotek trucks had overturned on top of them; every Glock gizmo in the world, from extended mag baseplates to Hart's recoil-reducer guide rods.

My current ones are pretty much stock; Agrip on the G30 and Agrip and an extended slide stop on the G29. (Hey, it was lying around and I was bored... ;) )

I like mine with Heinie SlantPro sights. I hate the stock sights.

No night sights though. Unless you're a cop, I think night sights are a total waste of money. If you can't even see your sights how can you see what you're shooting at? I just can't think of a self-defense situation where you'd be in complete darkness while the target was lit.

10-ring- give me the skinny. I am contemplating purchasing a G36- either that or the Taurus Millenium Pro PT-145 (or possibly the Firestorm Mini-.45) for a CCW. Why are you not head over heels in love with it like other Glockenlovermeisters?

Glock 21 stock except for Meprolight NS and Remington Golden Saber 230 grain.

Ready for any kind of trouble that might creep into my window or doors.:fire:

I'm currently on the fence between a G34 vs an XD9 Tactical (no date on production yet). I'm leaning more towards the G34, but is it worth $200 more than the XD?

My Glocks are pretty much stock looking and that's the way I like'm..

Well, they do have Trijicons and grip plugs on them but, I wouldn't really consider those "custom" parts..;)

Glock 23
Trijicon front sight only
Ghost Rocket connector/trigger reset
Plug

Tried an extended slide stop, didn't care one way or the other so I ditched it.

Absolutely love my G19. Second Gen,(Jan 91) Hogue slip on grip, Mepro night sights.

Just loves to ride in a Comp-Tac Undercover Kydex IWB holster.

My 2nd Gen G22 is liked very well by me! :)

Only addition is the plug.

It's a range baby mostly, so no need for night sites and all that extra stuff.

I put Trijicons on my 3rd Generation Glock 17 - what a great pistol. It is my girlfriend's favorite, as it is so light compared to my 1911 and my CZ.

Hmmm... that gives me an idea for an anniversary gift.... Glock 26 for the babe, perhaps?

Meps, the plug, polished internals, aind smooth faced triggers on the non full size models.

I like the stock sights, but I prefer night sights on my carry guns, and I carry my Glocks, so.... I have meps on 2 of my 3 Glocks.

G-26: trijicons(grn/red),NY-1 trigger spring,&3.5 connector

G-23: mepros,NY-1 trigger spring,3.5 connector,ext slide stop lever,& ext mag catch.

Okay, I guess - - -

My Glock 19 gen 2 is utterly box-stock but for some minor smoothing of trigger articulation.

This is how I like it. Or, rather, DON'T like it. Personal sidearms are a very individual thing for me. I disdain the practice of ascribing a personality to inanimate objects (That ASSAULT RIFLE is just plain EEEE-VULL--It can cause you to shoot up a play ground or somethin',.) even to the point of refusing to name my guns. (Oh, well, maybe one or two.;) )

But, with all that said, I do LIKE many guns. I cannot develop any affection whatever for a Glock. As well to say, "Hey, I really LOVE my lug wrench. Tactical black, very functional, fits my hand, utterly reliable . . . . " The Glock works just as well, and with just as much warmth, as my lug wrench. Maybe if I put rubber slip-grips and a custom finish on the lug wrench . . . .

Sorry, I just LIKE my High Power and .45s better than that Glock. I'll keep a .45 or Browning WITH me, and leave the Glock in its lock box in the trunk. Like the lug wrench, I hope I'll never HAVE to use it. But at least I practice with the Glock.

Best,
Johnny

All my Glocks are Stock, with Agrip, except for the latest acquisition, a 1st Generation G-17 (BE 0xx serial #) which has a Hogue Slip on that came with it. So it has finger grooves, of sorts!

I need to peel that thing off someday, and see how it feels then!!

The Rest of em? 19, 23, 26, 27, 33, & 36. All with Agrip, as I said earler...

"If you can't even see your sights how can you see what you're shooting at? I just can't think of a self-defense situation where you'd be in complete darkness while the target was lit."

Brooklyn, eh?? Kind of makes you want to go, "Hmmmmmmmm!"

Stock 19 with a NY1 trigger and Gen. 1 mags.

When worn, I replaced the Glock plastic sights with: new Glock plastic sights. That was a very inexpensive upgrade.

Night sights work. Your night vision drops to 20/200 compared to 20/20 in the daylight. While you may be easily able to see your attacker's body, the fine detail of the sights will alude you. Tritium puts them back in range of your visual acuity.

I like the 3rd generation G17 and G19. The tactical rail doesn't matter to me much, but I really like the finger grooves and the thumb rest. Fits my small hands very well.
