How do you like your Glock?

Lemme see... for duty use, I like my 1st gen G21 as is, like I bought it, Factory refurb with three 10 rounders. Someone else did all the breaking in for me.

For cheap steel shooting, I like my G34 as is. It still needs to get broken in, though.

For pure range fun, I wouldn't mind putting a KKM barrel with a comp on My G21 and firing some 45 Super out of it! I'm thinking of getting a G2 (10mm) this weekend just for a little boom!

It's funny... I never thought I'd end up liking Glocks...

My 17 is stock, except for adjustable sights and a polish job on the internals, but my 22 has got an extended slide and magazine release, along with a brass Seattle Slug mag guide to add a bit of weight. I've been thinking about adding a tungsten guide-rod to the 22 (my IPSC Standard Division pistol), but haven't gotten around to it yet.

"45s better than that Glock."

Hmmm, so, is ".45" now a pistol brand/type designation? Ever heard of a .45 Glock? I have. As a matter of fact, I own three of 'em.

Nero Steptoe,

Ever heard of a .45 Glock?

I reckon Mr. Guest is probably pretty conversant with the pistols in question, but the fact remains that the colloquial term ".45" can refer to either a cartridge, or to one of two handguns: the Colt Model P or the 1911. There are indeed other handguns, and even rifles, with this bore diameter, but when someone says "I'm gonna bring my .45 shooting today", odds are pretty durn good that he ain't referring to a SIG P-220, M3 Greasegun or S&W 625. ;)

:D

Wonder if anyone noticed that wasn't the latest supercalifragilisticexpealadotious tactical folder in the picture (or maybe it is ;) ).

I used to dislike Glocks. " Plastic!", I thought.

Now my only handgun is a Glock 17L, which turned out to be just perfect for me. She (pistols are female in German) does everything I ask for, apart from hitting only tens. ;)
She came with the lighter connector, an extended magazine catch and adjustable plastic sights.
I added an extended slide stop lever, a lighter firing pin spring and either a plug or a Bubits stock.
Next on the list are an Agrip and adjustable Meprolights.

Love my 2nd Gen G-22 w/ Mepro NS, Buffer Tech. recoil buffer, and sandpapaper texture grip decals. It works along side me everyday in an Uncle Mike's Sidekick Pro3.
I am considering a titanium striker and trigger connector and perhaps a Lazermax L-1000. ;)

100% stock. Although I am thinking about adding a lasermax, but the $325 price tag will probably prevent that.

And, although I have a couple of mags with the pearce grip extensions... I am just so use to shooting it without them, that I actually use it more with the regular mags.

Well it all started with the Glock 17 factory refurb with 2/Hi-Cap mags. The next thing I new I had to get the Glock 19. Then the Glock 30 came out. Well I got that one liked it and thought I would try the Glock 29 since all my holsters would work. Well then I thought I would try a little IPSC shooting, and purchased a Glock 21 and had it fully decked out with compensated barrel, titanium firing pin, trigger reset, etc. Then came the great deal on the Glock 20 with 5 hi-cap magazines for $300.00. couldn't pass on that. Then I thought I would give the 40sw a try and got the Glock 23C, nice gun but I am not a big fan of the 40. So I tried the Glock 33 in 357sig. Very Nice. Then came another great deal I picked up a second Glock 30 with Crimson Trace Laser. Don't really like using the laser to sight with, don't wanna build up bad habits, but if Joe Badguy sees the blinking dot on his chest maybe he will stop before I stop him. At this point I realized that I couldn't wait for a Glock 26 to come in and had to pay full Wholesale and picked one up (Hey I am a pawnbroker I don't pay full price for anything:D ) My latest addition is a Glock 19 3rd gen so that I can use my M3 light. Yes all of them are still in my collection, and I love everyone of them.

My standard setup is pretty basic:

Meprolight night sights
"Maybe" NY1 trigger (only actually did this on one)

Everything else suits me just fine. I like to get a couple of standard capacity mags, if they are available for that model. I outfitted both my 19 and 22 with Arotek extended slide stops (later restored the 19 to stock for use in IDPA). I'll put plugs in most (not necessary, but gives the gun a more finished look).

17 2nd Generation
17 3rd Generation
19 2nd Generation

All bone stock except for night sights, and all of them are trouble free, hassle free guns.

What more do you need?

Just my .02,
LeonCarr

Glock30 .45acp in a Galco SS2, with two spare mags.

Gun would be loaded down with Federal 230grn Hydra shoks no doubt.

Thats my Glock setup.......It's a damn good one too.......I would'nt feel out gunned walking into Fag-dad with this on.

The thing about Glocks is, people either love them or they hate them, there is no middle ground.

I thought mine was O.K. but I wasn't thrilled with it.:D

I resisted them like the plague for a long time. Then, on a lark, I found a barely-used Glock 26 for $399. I bought it and I've loved it ever since. It is my favorite autoloading handgun--simple, plenty accurate, consistent trigger pull, natural point of aim (for me).

If I had bought a Glock first, I could have saved myself a lot of money on other handguns.

Unlike some others, I like the factory sights. They are quick to pick up, and combat accurate.

I may buy a Glock 19 in the future IF the asinine 10-round limit on magazines dies a deserved death.
