How many people here have bought a duplicate rifle/handgun

Duplicates? Oh sure. Have a number of duplicate Colt Diamondback 22's although I have been selling them now and the herd is thinning a bit.
Have two M63 Smiths but with different barrel lengths (3" and 5").. They are my dominant plinkers now.
Two Remington M541's (but an S and T). Like them quite a bit.
Several M57 Smiths; each a little different but same model.
I generally don't buy exact duplicate firearms unless they are collector stuff.

My grown children gave me a Browning SA-22 at my retirement 5 years ago. I like it so much I bought another! I use the first one to hunt nutria and have shots many thousands of rounds thru it. if it ever wears out I have a backup.

Tentwing: you might be the only person on THR “with only one AR”.

I traded my “only” for an AMD-65, matching Hungarian components (chf barrel).
Being post 2016, even the dropping AR value didn’t matter.

Depending on the season/clothing I may be carrying one of four different guns: S&W J frame, Kahr PM series, Kahr P series or CZ P-07. For the S&W I have both a scandium 357 and an aluminum 38 special. For the three autos I have them in both 9mm and 40 S&W. Although I am well stocked with defensive ammo in both calibers now, I want to maximize my chances of being able to find factory ammo in case of another banic.
