Why, none, agent Schmuckatelli. I have to swing by WalMart before every trip to the range. ;)

1500 + of the good stuff and a few thousand of the cheap blasting stuff for the AR's

1000 rounds of the good stuff for the M1A and I'm almost out of balsting ammo for it :uhoh:

I currently have four or five rounds for my CETME. :scrutiny:
Ten rounds for the SKS.
Sixty for my M48A. Every so often I go into a gunshop and buy all they have in 7.92x57. This is all I could turn up in two trips. :banghead:

I keep a loaded military bandolier for my Garand, HBARm and M=1 carbine. I can grab and run.

A running stock of 500 is about all I can afford at this point, so it's what I've got. Under ideal financial conditions, I'd probably go a thousand. Up that to 5k for major political events (like if anything resembling kerry makes it to the white house). 10k+if it looks like legislation hurting ammo supplies is imminent.

Hmmm, I think I have somewhere around 2,000 rounds of 7.62x39 in the gun room, with an additional 2,000 rounds en route from Sportsmansguide. I need some more though. Maybe I'll grab half a case this weekend at the fun show.

Of course, I have six rifles chambered for 7.62x39 (2 SAR-1, 1 WASR-10, 1 NHM-91, 1 SKS, and 1 Vz52/57), so 4,000 rounds can go pretty quickly.

350K :what:

hmmmm....I seem to be a little short.

I feeling good when I get a new case of 1000. At the moment I'm somewhere between 300-400.

Of course...I have other calibers to feed as well. I try to keep a couple of hundred for each. Don't always do it though....

350,000

Smoke - walks away shaking head

I suspect that I have more ammo cans full than most hunters have individual rounds. That doesn't mean that I'm not buying more when fund availability and good price meet.

I usually try to keep between 1000 and 2000 rounds of .223, and 500-1500 rounds of 7.62x39 on hand. Once .308 becomes part of the collection, I will try to keep 500-1000.

Mannlicher,

Whats wrong with asking how much ammo you keep on hand?

I have been wondering how much I should keep on hand just in case something happens in the world and it becomes inpossible to pick up some boxes from my neighboorhood gun shop or walley world. Thats all. I don't have much if any extra money laying around, so I have been buying a couple boxes at a time and stashing them instead of shooting. I don't ever go shooting anymore because I want to build up my ammo cache. Hopefully someday I'll be able to feed my Ar & FAL.... :(
