Me? Why, of course I subscribe to old man Rugers mantra that no civilian needs more than 10 rounds... So, I buy a box of 20, give 10 rounds back to the guy at the store, and keep my 10 rounds. ;)

I'm currently fresh out of battle rifles and assault rifles... but in general, my answer would be 'a lot'. Hell, I probably have 5,000 rounds of ammo for guns I don't even own... :p

Being military, I move around so much it makes it difficult to stock the kind of ammo I would like to have on hand. I keep 8 30 rders loaded up and at least enough to reload them all once. So around 500 for rifle and the same amount in 45. and 9mm.

If I had my way I would have at least 10,000 5.56 and at a 1000 for each pistol.

One MILLLLLION rounds! :D

I wish - I probably have about 1500 of .223 and the same of 7.62x54. And probably about the same in 7.62x39.

Now, whenever I build a FAL that will become my MBR, and I have 0 rounds of .308, but that will change. :)

6K 9mm-- most loaded up
9k 45acp--most not loaded up at the moment but components are ready
2k 223
12k 308
sundry odd lot of 357 mag and 38's
300 380acp
20 300 savage
20 45-70

Kobun? did you stumble and get too many zeros in your post? By my figures, that would overload a 3/4 ton pickup. And at even ten cents per round would be 3,500$.
Can we see a picture of your ammo locker?

At $.10 per round, that would be $35,000 worth of ammo. :what:

He probably runs/owns a gun store.

Still impressive though.
