ironicly in the US that would be considered a short barreled rifel and be illegal (kinda)

What I don’t understand though, is way so many Americans don’t take advantage of your RKBA and CCW laws and become a total armed society.
To illustrate this further, imagine that I’m cleaning my 12g one night and just happened to have the ammo near me – someone breaks in and attacks me with a knife … I fear for my life and shoot him dead. I would go to court but probably win. Again the subtle deference here is that I can’t keep the shotgun out of my gunsafe just in case someone breaks in.
There have a number of cases where a homeowner has killed the intruder and has not been prosecuted. It’s all about whether the force used to defend yourself is deemed reasonable – in the heat of the moment though that isn’t something that is going through your mind!

I said 2 round magazine capacity. The limit is 3 rounds on a shotgun certificate, and that includes one in the chamber. So it is a 2 round magazine capacity limit.Semi auto shotguns with a mag capacity of 3 shells are very common, as are pump–action shotguns. Once a shotgun certificate is obtained you can buy as many shotguns as you like on one certificate and a reason for each shotgun bought is not required. This rule applies to Firearms only.
