How to refinish a knife handle?

I have an older knife that has a leather washer handle. Are there kits or supply shops that sell different sizes of the leather washers? I would really like to fix up this old knife...

It is a 6" fixed blade by Cattaraugus Cutlery I believe.

Cut your own from the top of an old boot or go to an art supply store and buy a good, thick piece of leather. You cut them all to one (over)size, install them, and then shape the handle the way you want it.

I was gonna say that Tandy Leather or Leather Factory stores generally sell renants of leather hides......provided you have those stores available to you.

They also sell a variety of punches. I have one that punches a, oh..., 1 1/2" concho, I believe.

Vegtable tanned or thick oiltanned would work for your purposes.
