I'm still curious just how often this particular style of attack happens.
How would y'all handle this one...

I haven't been publicly sick in a terlit for ages. Pretty vulnerable then anyway you look at it.
But for communing with nature moments... Scottgun has the same idea.
Folding knives are fast and handy, not as loud as handgun. Even with no lethal force used against you anyway, just strongarm, I'd still be inclined to use my Kershaw "pocketknife" on any offending paws rudely interruptin my reverie.
The time you're the most vulnerable is when you're placing that darned paper thingy on the seat with your back to the door.
And I do like the roomy handicapped commode space stalls when available.

I've heard that in prison, it's standard practice to take one leg out of the pants while on the toilet so you can fight if attacked. Never been there myself to see. Might be a bit awkward, but it makes sense.
He might find it hard to grab anything with a Monte Blanc pen shoved in his earhole.
Truthfully.. if I was armed with a hand gun this is one situation in which I'd shoot. This person is not attempting robbery by grabbing your ankle, you are in a vulnerable position. I wouldn't flame a woman for unlimbering hot lead in this situation and therefore.. neither would I a man. If it happened to a woman you'd think "rape in progress", and that is grounds for deadly force.
You need a whole lot of hands to stand up hold the door, draw your pistol and pull up your drawers all at the same time, not to mention you are a sitiing target (literally).
I doubt very seriously his compatriots would stand still flat footed while you perforated said attacker with whatever means at your disposal. You knife him they may come through the door, you shoot him and they will likely flee. You don't know how many there are or what they look like. Don't miss, the 4 rules still apply.

I crap at home and at work. If I am on the road I will use the motel room toilet. If I am away from home 59 miles or so and the need comes on me I head home.
