My main complaint with hunting shows is when a 200 Inch Whitetail walks out, the deer gets shot with a .300 Remington Ultramag or whatever cartridge the sponsors are paying for that week, the deer runs off at the shot and runs literally to the horizon. The hunters start jumping up and down yelling about the good shot was, they start fist bumping and high fiving, and then they say "Lets go get that deer". The deer ran so far off that they are on camera visibly out of breath from searching for the deer.
If a deer runs more than about 50 yards after you shoot it, IT IS NOT A GOOD SHOT!
The only show I have watched where most of the deer drop at the shot or shortly there after is The Bucks Of Tecomate. Those guys can shoot, including Jeff Foxworthy.
Just my .02,
