Greetings,
While I've never hated Glocks, I can't say that I've been overwhelmed with them either. I was always a SigP226/228 fan, along with the Beretta 92FS and the USP45F. I had a G22 3rd gen that I picked up a while back and couldn't shoot it worth a damn. Also, the wife really didn't like the gun especially, after I had an AD with it in the apartment. Luckily nothing bad happened as a result of that. A year and a half ago, I picked up a used G19 2nd gen. I always had a thing for that pistol. Anyway, when dry firing it, as well as when shooting it at the range, I could never get it to group like the USP or Sigs, etc. Then one day about a month ago, it all came together. Something changed in the way I shoot the pistol (right hand thumb now points up instead of forward) and I can now hold it without moving the sights when shooting it. My favorite in my arsenal is the USP. I can shoot really well with it, and I love the recoil reduction, mag release, everything about it. After that I have to say the Glock is now the runner up. I never ever thought I would like a Glock over a Sig or Beretta. Repeat shots are really easy to make, and the pistol is in the Tonka toy category of "it can take it". This could very well be an ultimate pistol. Accuracy is also much better than I first gave it credit for. Now that I know how to shoot it, that is.
