I told myself that I wasn’t going to buy anything gun related this month. I used my fun money to pay my daughter’s surgery copay. She didn’t have the $2000, but really needed to have the surgery as soon as possible.
So the G48 and the new set of tires for my truck will have to wait.
Then I get that #$@“% email from PSA and they have PMAGs on sale. With the code PMAG I got 10 black PMAGs at my door for $87.
Oh! They are still on sale.

Heh. Brownells sent me a similar 10-pack last week. . . by accident! Didn't order them, or pay for them; that was kinda hard to ship back.

OTOH, I found and rescued a stranded dog that I never would have seen had I not gone to that FedEx drop box.

Odd, they were $79.90 for me.?
Yeah, that is what it came to for me when I checked yesterday(?).

Good thing that I have all of the PMAG30s that I will ever buy (read: Too Many, o'course).

If it had been PMAG20s, I would have been in big trouble because I have developed a reeeeeal liking for them recently. ;)

When I got one in Arctic White just to complete the set, I knew I had a problem......

And I used to think the guys who collect every manufacturer of M1 Carbine magazine were nuts!:what:

Now that is good to hear. On both counts.

This is too funny. I've been resisting buying a gun for like 8 months now. I feel myself caving each day a little more.

Same here, but now they also have to change that 4% Fed tax. Or is it state?
Now now
Funny’s a really nice guy

But he’s evil
He’s a pusher
He pushes us to build and buy AR stuff
I do my best.

I’m having withdrawals symptoms right now. 29 days into the new year and I haven’t bought a gun yet. My have to dig out the parts and build an AR just to feel better.

Be strong Gunny, don't give in to the "buy a gun voices" you keep hearing! Building another AR is a good idea, as long as you don't buy anymore parts or PMAGS for it!

And kudos for helping out your daughter in her time of need! Family first!

You are the top, Gunny!!!

GOOD GRIEF! Overheard at the (firearms forum;)?) Anonymous Meeting...

"Hi, my name is Gunny. I buy stuff I don't need, for the rifle my Gov't says I don't need''

''Hello Gunny" ''Hi'' '' good to see ya''

Well hopefully the PMAG purchase will temporarily stop the shaking in your hands long enough to get one put together.

It's kind of a funny phenomenon. I have 10 handguns that are all regularly shot, and four rifles that are shot less frequently. I have firearms for basic concealed carry mixed in all the way up to guns I could easily kill a moose with. I don't need any more guns. None at all.

And yet the desire is still there. I think I enjoy acquisition as much as ownership and use.

I've been trying to focus my OCD nature on producing ammo on my press. It takes the edge off.

I also hate PSA. I did the bit earlier this year where they were selling 1,000 rounds of Federal 5.56 plus ten PMags. I believe it was $300 after the rebate, which I would have considered a decent price without the mags!

My ammo storage is getting quite full. Its all PSA's fault!!

Edit to add: uh oh, they still have that deal!! Must... resist...

Yes, if they get around to PMAG 20s or 10s for that kind of money, I will be doomed once again. I had to unsubscribe from their mailing list as I was spending too much time teetering on the brink of another order. PSA does a nice job of finding my weak spots and exploiting them, and Mag-pul stuff just works. Shucks, now I have to go check out the price for a set of back up sights...

I have a bunch of guns I have never fired. But then again, I have a bunch of guns.
I love Surplus guns but with the market drying up and the stupid prices people are willing to pay these day, it makes finding good deals kind of hard.
Running out of room started to become an issue so I started buying more handguns. Now I might have to buy another safe just for handguns.

I get email alerts from PSA, Primary Arms, Delta Team Tactical, Jo Bob Outfitters, MAS Defence, Midway USA, SG Ammo and Target Sport USA just to name a few.

Ayup, same here ... over the years I have accumulated a lot of the USGI 20s & Brownells "straight" 20s and, prior to my discovery of the 20rd PMAGs, they were always my choice of AR mag. The PMAG20s are giving them a run, though. :)

The 20 rounders are good when you need to return fire and keep a low as possible while prone
