My wife has a Walther P22 and a Seecamp .32 - they are her firearms. I have S&W revolvers, having traded away my AMT .45 ACP DAOs 7+ yr ago - and my last 'real' mainline rude case-tossing/evil-bottom-feeder, a G21, left twelve years ago this summer. Fitted with +2 mag extenders, it would hold 15 .45 ACPs - and was the most boring gun I ever owned. Accurate/infallible - but boring. I had 'discovered' round guns - and a .45 convertible Blackhawk was bought to use up my .45 ball ammo stash.
I started, as said, with Ruger SAs - had to 'try' that.45 Colt cylinder in that first Ruger. .45 Colt was my 'new' favorite round. My first DA would be an early 7.5" .454 SRH, as it would also shoot .45 Colts. My first S&W, a new .45 Colt 625MG, arrived 9/02 - and a new awakening occured. Now all S&W revolvers, and a few 1895 Nagants, nirvana - for me - has been reached reached. YMMV.
I buy what I want (... and can afford!) from the S&W line - and I have many that include the IL - not a problem for me. I make my ammo - mostly a bit wimpy - but fun, nonetheless. The final hanger-on from the feed-it's-own-self world finally left 9/08 - a Ruger MKII KMK-678GC - to fund a long overdue 617 purchase. That was long past it's time - I hadn't used the MKII in years - and I cannot stop using the 617! Again, YMMV - but you must like revolvers, else, why are you here in a revolver forum??
