Well, I that’s the story I’m sticking to if the wife asks. I added one more after hearing the siren song of another S&W K-frame .38 calling my name.

This one is a Model 67 no dash that was in very nice shape: no dings or scratches in the steel, clean sights, nice bore/chambers and a solid lock up and very smooth trigger press in DA and SA modes.

This is my first S&W with the early stainless sights. I will say that Black on Black or Red ramp -Black blade sighting systems pop for me a lot better, but I think these are going to be good enough for me to use at the indoor range or outdoors.

The K-frames just keep multiplying and multiplying no matter how hard I try to resist. No matter the caliber or barrel length, I think the combination of size, weight, feel and accuracy just keep screaming my name. No matter how many times I scrunch my eyes closed and cover my ears, I just can’t resist their cry...

.38 Special,

and .357 Magnum persuasion...

There are a few holes in the ranks, but at the rate I’m going sooner or later I’ll fill in some gaps with newborn K-frame “safe-babies” and run them through their paces at the range...

Stay safe.

I hesitated on an identical 67 no dash at a shop one afternoon two years ago, 425.
The next guy through the door did not (it wasn't you).

Congrats!

Nice Model 67. I enjoy shooting mine.

S&W K-frames are a worthy gun to collect in my opinion.

Except for Model 16/K-32's, I have an example of each standard barrel length revolvers for Model 14 through Model 19 blued revolvers. It has been a fun project.

S&W just did not make enough Model 16/K-32's where they show up for sale frequently.:(

Sweet acquisition! I doubt you would find a nicer one than the one you got! There's just something so very right with a S&W K frame in good working order!

Very @Riomouse911

Try using some sight black or even just some black permanent marker on the front sight. It’ll contrast nicely off the silver rear sight. At least it works well on my two Vaqueros.
Good idea. I’ve done that with the rear sight notch of my 642, it did help make it a bit easier to see with a Testors-orange painted front sight. I also did the orange paint on my Model 64, that really brought out that guns sighst indoors.

This M-67 is a bit too nice for the paint treatment, but the sight black may be the ticket. (The M-64 was bought from AIM Surplus. It’s in good mechanical shape but the exterior is a bit dinged up from prior ownership:(.)

Thanks for the idea .

Stay safe.

No kiddin! I haven’t seen a K-32 auction that hasn’t touched at least $2,000 yet :what:.

A K-32 would certainly be a large dollop of icing on my K-frame cake. But, unless I grow a third kidney to sell to pay for one that hole in the Masterpiece series will have to remain unfilled. :(

I’d love to see your K-frame menagerie, I’m not even close to finding all barrel lengths out there .

Stay safe.

I have one Model 16-4 (32 H&R with full underlug barrel) but have never seen a 32 S&WL in the "metal". S&W made about 8000 16-4's while only about 3000 K-32 through 16-3's. The 16-4's run about $1500 in my part of the world.

 Sweet guns indeed! I’d love a 16-4 or a Dan Wesson 32... gonna have to save quite a while to swing one though :(.

I got bit by the .32 H&R bug when I bought a NIB Bisley Single Six last year. I wanted one as a kid in high school for a walk-around bunny hunting gun... it only took me 30+ years to finally fulfill the wish :).

Stay safe.

The good thing about having multiple of anything is the wife can’t tell them apart so she has no idea what is new. Even the few times I’ve been busted taking one in I just tell her I lent it to a friend and it’s not really new. I think she doesn’t believe me, but she lets me get away with it.

Nice 67. I have a 67-1 test I bought on gunbroker for $250 Buy it Now price. Auction was 10 minutes old. I miss those days of affordable wheel guns. I just bought a 64-3 for $485 plus shipping that is not nearly as nice as the 67. Hell, I remember buying a mint 66-2 for $325 in April of 2005.

My Dad pulled that trick with motorcycles. Sometimes I would help him sneak them into the garage under cover of darkness. As long as the new one wasnt a radically different color, he was usually safe......

They were all in various states of disassembly constantly anyway, so it was tough to tell how many bikes were actually there at any given time. :)

My buddy “Yamaha Mike” used to pull that one on his wife for years. When he traded in his old ride and brought a new bike home he just kept telling her he got new plastics to make it look like new. ;)

This is our 18th year of marriage. I’m not smart enough to hide much from her, she knows right where the money goes. I’ve been buying guns far longer than we’ve been together, so she doesn’t complain too much.

Stay safe.

yeah. She knows I have too many guns but doesn’t give me any grief for buying more. The bills have never gone unpaid and there’s always food in the fridge and gas in the tank so she doesn’t bother complaining.

You guys kill me with the K-frame threads. Every time I see one, I have to spend an entire day off making the rounds of every gun and pawn shop around Puget Sound (which, for those of you not familiar with our geography, literally takes a full day and some) in the faint hope of finding a serviceable old S&W at a decent price.

And lately, the prices are ridiculous. Best price I've seen lately, I was just looking at what looks to be a pristine 19-6 (snub!!) for only $925... but the guy's down in Oregon for gosh sakes. Passed on a nickel 19-4 snub for $1500 (yikes!).

Ah, well. Gonna keep looking.

Some are really outrageous...especially if the shop hasn't had a consignment K frame in for a while. Then they get priced like they're made of gold.

They're out there if you keep looking. :)

Stay safe.
