I swear honey, K-frames breed like rabbits in the safe!

Every once in a while I get real lucky. A really nice K22, dating back to 1946 with the original box came up on Gunbroker.

I bid on it just to get some action going on it, figuring it would be sniped at the last second. To my surprise I won! And the price was right at what a new 617 cost, so I guess I did all right.

Okay…Now I am jealous! :D
Good for you! That’s excellent.

But watch out for those Ruger single-actions. They've been having an orgy in my safes for over thirty years. That explains why I have so many taking up slots. They are shameless. :D

Yeah, you got that right and they are not picky, either. My Super Blackhawk had a fling with my shaved Webley. They had twin .44Spls. I swear, it happened just like that.

Well, I that’s the story I’m sticking to if the wife asks. I added one more after hearing the siren song of another S&W K-frame .38 calling my name.

This one is a Model 67 no dash that was in very nice shape: no dings or scratches in the steel, clean sights, nice bore/chambers and a solid lock up and very smooth trigger press in DA and SA modes.

This is my first S&W with the early stainless sights. I will say that Black on Black or Red ramp -Black blade sighting systems pop for me a lot better, but I think these are going to be good enough for me to use at the indoor range or outdoors.

The K-frames just keep multiplying and multiplying no matter how hard I try to resist. No matter the caliber or barrel length, I think the combination of size, weight, feel and accuracy just keep screaming my name. No matter how many times I scrunch my eyes closed and cover my ears, I just can’t resist their cry...

and .357 Magnum persuasion...

There are a few holes in the ranks, but at the rate I’m going sooner or later I’ll fill in some gaps with newborn K-frame “safe-babies” and run them through their paces at the range...

Stay safe.
Rio: I'm just curious I'm a coin collector and when I find a Coin of a better grade in a certain date I buy it and then sell off the old one. I wonder if you do that with your gun collection?

No, I pretty much always buy and shoot them so I’m not one to buy a gun and hold as an investment. The guns I bring home are usually in about the best condition they’ll be in since I’ll be putting a bunch of rounds through them sooner or later. :)

Stay safe.
