Larry, I really really enjoyed your class, even though you stabbed my wife ;) I really want to do your pistol course sometime, although I won't be able to attend in August. I'll keep checking back with FBMG for other opportunities.

Folks if you have the chance to attend Larry's CCW class tor a Utah permit, I highly, highly recommend it. To put it in perspective, my father also attended yesterday, and he's not a big gun guy, but as he gets older he worries about being victimized and has decided to give himself the option of carrying. As we were driving home, he blurts out of nowhere: "I loved it!" He said he was hanging on every word, and thought that there was a ton of excellent info.

The five hours just flew by.

Larry since you gave my wife and myself the class for free, (we're staff at a State University) we'll be coming in to FBMG to buy a new concealable gun for my wife for sure.

i Larry wasn't so busy Writing ,Teaching ,Shooting,Selling and advising
he could probably be a comedian.

Thanks, guys. I'm glad you liked it.

And your wife still managed to shoot me though. :) In fact, everybody in the roleplays did an excellent job on Saturday. That was way better than average performance from the volunteers.

You do need to mix in comedy when you teach adults. 5 hours in one block is a terribly long time. I had somebody take my class after taking another class from somebody else. They said that the guy talked real slow, and was very serious and monotone the entire time. I can't even imagine that. This stuff is interesting.

That and I talk REALLY FAST. There's a lot of info to cover in that time, so I basically just keep throwing it at the students.

I've had people ask me why I don't use Powerpoint. A. Too slow. B. turn the lights down and people fall asleep. :p

Larry,

You can use PPT in a fast-paced presentation. You just have to have lots of really simple slides.:p

Also, don't turn the lights down. No one's going to fall asleep in your presentation anyway for fear of what prank might be played on them.

The best part of the class...going to Cabelas!

It's dangerous, like Sam's Club. At either I find myself constantly saying "I don't really need this but, it's half-off!"

Nothing's ever half-off at Cabela's. ;) Although I do have a Cabela's CC and have earned a lot of points.

They have the clearance room, I've found some great deals back there.

Oh that's true. I did find a Butler Creek folding stock for my mini-14 in there for $58.

Yup, Larry's class was a hoot. I recommend it to everyone I run into that's interested in getting their permit.
