Yeah, MC I've heard of that. But I've always had a little too much **** in my neck to try it.(LOL) But maybe in a survival situation it may very well be a viable option.
Impossible. I shoot lead 7.5 on doves, 3 steel on ducks, T steel on geese and hunted hogs with 00 buck
How can you hunt turkey and defend against bears with just one type of load?

I like skeet.
I read a story in an outdoor magazine when I was a kid in the mid 1960's about two waterfowlers returning from a sucessful goose hunt. One had used all his ammo and the other had saved two high brass # 2's in his SxS for the walk back. They surprised an Alaskan Brown bear on the trail. As the bear turned to charge, the hunter with the SxS stood his ground, waiting till the last possible second, he discharged both barrels into the bears head at point blank range and lept aside at the last possible second, killing the bear instantly. Both hunters escaped unscathed. Assuming the story is true, I guess it's possible depending on how big your b***s are.
#4 Hevi. It covers all game (including deer in a survival situation, headshot) and people should it become desperate. If an assailant takes #4 to the head and chest and keeps coming, it just aint meant to be....
