A never issued or fired M1 Garand because I've never shot or owned one.
I'd probably try to find a fine English double rifle of some kind, chambered for a classic cartridge - a .375 H&H double would suit me just fine.
I have no real use for such a rifle. But I could sit and fondle it as I watch movies about hunting in Africa or India.
In 30/40 Krag? Awesome stuff!Lewis Gun. Because I want one.
No, the Lewis only came in 303 and 30-06. I want one in 303. Hell, at this point I'd take a non firing dispaly gun...In 30/40 Krag? Awesome stuff!
I would imagine it would be (in boutique caliber speak) something like 6.35X51R or something like that. Sounds exotic, no?It might be some odd ball cartridge.
If I ever have the money to buy what I want, ill be able to afford to load it too
Most likely tho, it would be something common. Tho the rimmed version of the Mauser rounds might be where its at.....
Hi Point.
Wilson Combat EDC X9. Looks like a nice shooter but I don't have $2800 sitting around I don't need.
My dad picked one up somewhere about 30 years ago and had trouble getting $150 for it. That was before the milsurp stuff went through the roof. I took it out and put 50 rounds through it, just for fun. That thing would throw brass 30 feet, and never in the same direction. The Johnson rifle I passed up 20 years ago at a gun show for 1500 bucks
You mean one of these? This one was never fired after proof testing.1896 Mauser Broomhandle. Because I always wanted one.

As for my pick, I want one of those $5,000 semi-auto FG 42s
