If you only had one choice.....

Well I am going to assume this is a handgun your talking about as this is in the handgun forum.

And I will have to say that I agree with the HK guys.

An HK P2000 with factory night sights in .40S&W with the LEM trigger.

Funny... that seems to be the gun I plan on carrying.

I am expecting a whole bunch of 1911 guys to come in any moment.

Well no, I'm a 1911 fanboy but gotta agree with you on that one. Primarily shoot 1911s, carry HK. (posts above yours). An excellent decision Tecumseh. :D

What I'm currently carrying , XD45 . After the first time to the range with it have fell in love with it . Accurate , reliable , and can take a beating . Six months ago it would have been my Witness 45 (same as above but less capacity ) .

Auto. (not brand specific) A tried, tested and trusted 1911 45.
Wheel gun. 357 mag 4" barrel.

I won't say Glock, HK, Para or any other name brand till it is in hand and proven. Say 1000 rds no hiccups. If any gun has a failure to feed for an "unexplainable" reason it should not be carried as your "only" choice.

So that "1" Gun could be a Star, Interarms, LLama, EAA, or and high dollar custom.

Gotta trust exclusively whatever you carry and price is not the determining factor in trust.

A three-way toss-up...

My Beretta M9A1s with light rails, Insight Technologies M6X laser/light combos, 20rd Mec-gar mags, loaded with 100gr Corbon Pow'RBalls...

Or,

My Springfield Armory XD-.40S&W Tacticals, w/Meprolight sights, Insight Technologies M6X laser/light combos, 12rd factory mags, loaded with Remington 165gr Golden Saber JHPs...

Or,

My Springfield Armory XD-.45acp Service Model, Insight Technologies XML light, and fourteen rounds of 230gr W-W Personal Protection JHPs...

Regardless of the choice above, I'd be "happy." :)

No doubt in my mind - full size M&P in 40S&W (X2)

I second the choice by rbernie. I have a M&P 40 also and I think it's great. Next would be a XD 45 Compact.

Lightly customed 1911 .45 ACP
Smith & Wesson M&P 9 mm
Browning Hi-Power 9 mm
H&K P7M8

Any of the above with the nod going to the 1911.

One gun that was easily concealable for all occasions; it would have to be a Smith 442/642. If it was forever, a Glock 23 (40 S&W), and I would find a rig that I can conceal it with that is comfortable. I just have not found a holster I like yet for one that works for all or most occasions.
