M-14 for longer ranges.
M-4 for 'car/jeep/tank' gun
870 'just cause'
1911 for daily hip carry.

A Mosin-Nagant (preferably one broken in at Kursk or Seelow Heights), some East German jack boots, a few flares, and some chewing tobacco.

Just thinking from a civilian stand point I would say AK-47,lots of ammo and mags everywhere in the sand box.Sidearm would be a glock.

Okay, so I'm a contractor, so most of my combat would take place within 100m since I would be providing security for rich folk, important folk, and convoys. That said, I would want something compact that doesn't need to be accurate past 300m. I would probably take either an MP5 (yeah yeah, submachine gun) or else a Rock River Arms AR-15 style rifle (forward pistol grip, collapsing stock). I'd carry standard 30 round mags and a 100 round C-Mag.

**Edit** I'm not a contractor. By saying I was a contractor was putting myself in that hypothetical situation. Sorry for the miscommunication.

In some remote Muhammadpur or Waziristan

Old Good Russian AKM underfolder with 20, 30 and drum mags.
No special forces type gigs like aimpoints etc.
Sidearm - Stechkin - an Afghan War proven pistol.
Ammo available. Plus better body armor and Adidas shoes.

my entire gun cabinet along with plenty of ammo. primarily be using my ak and m44 and have my springfield xd .45 as a sidearm. i would store rifles im not carrying as well as spare ammo and mags in my assault wheelbarrel.

Guard duty? VIP protection? Convoy travel?

MP5
M4
Slightly tuned reliable AK 47
Les Baer 1911
HK USP
870
FAL
PSG1
and Batmobile:cool: built for the desert and urban warfare.

i would take the following

m-4 w/ acog
1911 of some sort, kimber but since this is dream land than i am gonna say wilson cqb.
highspeed gear chest rig
blackhawk serpa thigh drop leg holster
blackhawk modular thigh platform for extra mags.
nomax gloves
a nice medical kit.
that is a darn good start!

I would take EXTREME SHOCK ammo.
One round will end any and all conflict

Considering the f**kwits that Blackwater apparently employ I would recommend carrying a really good lawyer.....

Oh and MOT45acp

Extreme Shock ammo, better known as Extreme BS, have a look see, utter bollocks.

http://www.theboxotruth.com/docs/bot23.htm

There was another shill who said

we did some tests with it on water melons and unlike ball ammo that makes a neat hole in the melon, a 2 layer drywall "wall" and a 1/2" sheet of plywood behind that, the ES round was completely contained within the watermelon, hollowed out and shredded the first 6 inches of it and moved the 18 pound melon back about 20 inches (the rind was split, the shreds came out the front and the rear rind was intact)

Have these people ever heard of Newtons Laws.

To push an 18 pound melon, from rest back 20 inches would mean that a 180 pound shooters entire body will be shoved back at least 2 inches.

Guess what, unless they are using a 4 bore elephant gun that's not going to happen.

It would depend on what I was doing. M4 or some other AR-type carbine would work fine for daily bodyguard, convoy, or security duty. I'd want a reliable handgun, preferably in .45 or .40S&W, on me at all times. I'd have to have some form of AK for general SHTF situations or for any work that would require me to go somewhere unusual or with little backup. A .308 AR- or M1A-based sniper system would work fine for long-distance stuff.

Nothing related to the M-14 (M1A) you'd be a great mark for a sniper cuz you look like a SDM squad designated marksman. M4 with a light and holosight (BUIS of course)

I would take a krinkov AK-47..not only is it compact but it packs a lot of firepower with the 7.62x39's(most fire fights with contractors happen in very close range to begin with).A lot of people on here say the 7.62x39 is inferior to the 5.56,but i would rather have the penetrating power compared to the fragmenting power of the 5.56.Especially when people are hiding behind barriers shooting at me!!!.

You wouldn't need a lawyer, just some ammunition designed to punch through body armor worn by members of the media in witch hunt mode.

Everall,

Do you have a reference for the "shill" quote? Did they have any pictures?

Without more data I can't make a categorical statement but with what you've presented I can't say they're wrong.

'Hollowed out and shredded the 1st 6 inches of it and the shreds came out the front'?

Saying that can't move a melon is like saying the stream of gas coming out the bottom of a Saturn V rocket won't move it more than a millimeter off the launch pad.

If you know something about Newton's laws you can look at the Zapruder film and tell if there was a shooter from the front a la Oliver Stone. The DA in Stone's film repeats "back & to the left" to prove there was a front shooter. He's wrong for the same reason the melon jumped. That's a gruesome subject and that's all I want to say that particular application of Newton's laws.

Stand your shooter on an enormous air hockey puck on a table the size of a football field. When he shoots, how far back does he move?

I would say go with the AR in 5.56 NATO. If you are sent to a dense, urban environment (most likely), it is plenty of firepower. If you are stationed on the outskirts, you may want to go with a 7.62X51 so you can take out guys with AK's before they even come into their effective range.

One more thing. Don't be a dumbass and kill innocent people like the other trigger-happy contractors out there. Best of luck.
