What guns do you have that you know have increased in value since Obama took office?
I have a Ruger PC4 that I bought 2 Years ago on Gunbroker for $285 + Shipping NIB. I've checked GB lately and there was a few on there for $600+ used, and they had bids.

Almost all of my guns have gone up in value over the last year. I buy them used, of course, and I try to get the under-appreciated ones - the ones that I expect to soon become appreciated.
Admittedly, some are only appreciated by me. That's good, too.

Anyway, I'd say that my accumulation of firearms has at least doubled in value over the last year or so.

Which gives me a good excuse for buying more guns!

All of them have gone up, paid $339each for a couple AKs about a year ago, now you can't touch one for less than about $650. An sks averages $400 right now. I don't expect it to last though, during the last ban, I saw some pretty ridiculous prices for some pretty ordinary guns.

I bought a Thunder Five revolver in .45-70 a few years back for like $300 or $400 (when they were in business). My brother was at a gun show and he said there was a couple for sale for around $800. wow. I saw some on GB that were $700+. I wonder what one will go for in a few years with both the .45-70 and the .45/.410 cylinders with it (which i do have). A few others guns have gone up a couple bucks, but not hundreds of dollars.

I had a Norinco Mak90 with 4 mags, a 75rd drum mag, and like 1100 rds of 7.62 for it. When I sold it, all together everything was worth maybe $700, that wasn't even 18 months ago. NOW, all that same stuff together is going for upwards of $1300.

I used to have a pistol grip Winchester 1300 Defender, I didn't want it anymore and I FINALLY found someone to pay $200 for it. Now I see them for $400+ USED.

It's ridiculous

yep, I should of bought what I wanted, when I wanted it, last year. case in point.

1. yugo underfolder when they were under 500 (now 600+)
2. kel tec sub 2000 when they were under 300 (now 400+)

I did finally get the AR I been wanting, I learned my lesson, a hungarian amd will be mine soon while they can still be had for under 600.

one rule I have always tried to live by, If I think I will EVER want or need it, get it now, it will just cost more, or be impossible to get later.

I figure that all of them are probably worth more, but not just because of BHO, but that surely does add the 'ban' value to it.
Even my C9 is probably worth more than the $80 I paid.

I snatched up a Vector Arms Uzi for $600 + $20 s&H + $20 transfer fee. That was last March/April. They're selling on GB for around $1300 these days. Same thing with the DPMS AP4 I got five or six months before the Uzi. Roughly doubled in value, maybe a little less than double. Of course, I don't plan on selling them, so I can't capitalize on those gains.

The DPMS A-15, the SAR-1, the Romanian SKS and the Yugoslavian SKS rifles are all worth considerably more. Several others have increased a little.

Oddly, Beretta 92FS pistols do not appear to have increased very much. Subjectively, they are my favorite 9mm pistol, and my regular carry pistol. Objectively, they are a truly outstanding, classic pistol by any measure. Maybe there are too many of them, and of course they are made of real metal rather than popular plastic -- sort of like saying that unlike a Big Mac, a Bookbinder's classic hoagie doesn't come in a foam box and taste like cat vomit.

I went to a fairly big show today and saw a few, though not many, 92FS pistols, and the prices had increased only about $50 from last year.

Revolvers have hardly budged. That's why I traded some appreciated autoloaders for some unappreciated vintage Colt double action revolvers, recently. Those things are about to pop, and a trade like that is the same as buying them at deep discount.

Milsurp rifles have crept upward a little, more a function of supply dwindling than of regulatory fears. I was surprised to find NO guns for under $100 at the show (except a beater $50 BP ball and nipple), unless they all sold yesterday. Even a pair of Lorcins were priced at $99 each plus tax. Not so many years ago you could obtain decent milsurp rifles for well under $100 -- six Turks for a hundred from Century -- and cheap .22 rifles were $50.

I bought a SAR-1 a few months before the election for $350 at a shop in town. Hell I did not even know what I was looking for at the time, but the guy at the gun store told me that it was the best value in the whole place and that if I did not buy it he was going to. I put a deposit down on it and came home to look on the internet. I went back the next day and brought it home.

Gone up in value, or in price? My guess is that when folks realize there's not going to be a repeat of the '94 ban, prices will drop.

I just bought a Norinco Sporter about 2 hours ago, $300 came with 3x30rnd mags full of wolf hp and a nice soft case that has a pouch for the mags. So, it all comes out in the wash that I paid $150 for the gun and $150 for $150 worth of accessories:) Gun books between $400-$600 and is selling on gunbroker for $755-$1000:) He's a good friend, just needed money and has no idea how collectible that gun is, especially since it takes standard AK mags!!!

Value? Zip.

Price? A bit to a lot.

Rumors don't make things more valuable. Just the perception of value. Wall Street found that out the hard way.

EBRs and other ugly high capacity bottom feeders have skyrocketed in price. I have found the vintage market to be a little soft. S&W M27s that were $6-800 guns a year ago can be found for $500 or less. Bolt action hunting rifles and double guns are also a bit soft, down by about 10-30% in my area. Colts and Winchesters seem to be holding steady.

Just picked up a sweet old M15-2 for $275

I have a Colt Anaconda 44mag. paid 600.00 have seen them in the 1100-1200 range.

Colt Pony 90 series, traded a Ruger 77/22 that I paid 330.00, even up.

Just sold a West Berlin Sig 226 for 700, I paid 500 a couple of months ago.

I am sure the SKS's are up (bought in the early 90's) The Armalite is up as well as the Barrett M82A1 CQ.

Bought a Maadi AK for 420 and saw the same thing at a gunshow for 1350. I dont care about paying more for a good gun but the worst thing is it's hard to find good guns for reasonable prices anymore

part of me is wanting to sell my Del-Ton AR that I don't really need anymore. Just can't think of a good amount to rip off someone on it for yet.

The assault weapon ban will be back, and will likely be wrapped in a homeland security bill."end quote

This is part of the problem that is contributing to this hysteria, postings like this even after the Dems have made evidence so far that they are not after guns as a important agenda right now despite a few huff n puff comments.

WE ARE WINNING SO FAR!!!!

Stop speculating and posting doom & gloom that is making prices tough on us all.Everything so far points that you are wrong about the Dems having a urgent agenda to tax ammo, bring back a ban and so on.They see it as a loosing issue right now.

Could they in the future?Yes but right now the only people that are hurting us (firearm enthusiasts) are ourselves. And even though I don't vote DNC may I point out that certain Repubs have pushed some legislation against guns recently more than the Dems?

Sorry, but I believe you are wrong. The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. Obama has stated he wants an AWB. Hillary has stated we need to renew the AWB in order to cut down on drug violence in Mexico. The Attorney General has said the same thing. That is three prominent Democrats who are in favor of an AWB.

I believe that the Democrats already have a plan for renewing the AWB. They will not bring it up as a major piece of legislation. A new AWB will be simply added onto some "critical" piece of legislation at the last minute as an amendment, and there will be no significant discussion or time to mount a protest against it.

One day you will wake up and it will just be there again.

Buy what you want now.
