Well, this one was a total impulse buy! I was at the LGS and they had a used CZ Scorpion EVO3 S1 for $799. The guy bought it and put one round through it at the range at the LGS, then came back the next day and traded it in for a scope. :D I picked up a couple of 30 round mags a month ago because I planned on getting the Scorpion down the road, but this one looks brand new and was too good a deal to pass up.

I'll try it out tomorrow, then hopefully I'll get my e-form #1 going very soon. I'm waiting on checks and a card on my trust checking account. By the time the stamp comes back I think the compliance kit with folding stock should be ready to go from CZ.

Nice score! Something about being in the right place at the right time comes to mind.

I put a few hundred rounds through her yesterday. As expected it kinda sucks as a giant pistol but when I get the stamp it's going to be nice. It's extremely accurate and easy to shoot. The right side of the ambi-safety digs into my hand uncomfortably but a safety delete kit is only $25. I think it is going to be a great little gun when the 922r stuff is out.

I've had mine just shy of a month and sent in my form 1 about a week later. Its very reminiscent of my MP5 clone except it doesn't have the happy switch!

It fits perfectly in my 17" laptop case, unfortunately I have to remove the arm brace for that as the adapter and hinge makes it too long ... the factory folding stock which is in the 922r kit should be fine.

That's awesome. I'm holding out for the factory folding stock.
There are factory stocks out there, I've seen a several sell on GunBroker from $600 up to $1050 recently.

I don't know that I'd say I'm "holding out for the factory stock" but I'm definitely getting the 922r kit as soon as it's available and I've already submitted my form 1 ... further, rumor is you are going to have to submit your approved form 1 with your order to get the 922r kit which has the stock in it ... and from CZ the complete kit is only $199.

I doubt that. 922r kits will be available for any FFL to stock. Nothing so far saying that a FFL must see an approved Form 1 before selling the kit to a customer.

That was on the CZ forum ... Several people saying they can't require it for purchase but like I said that is the rumor.

I like these but already have a 9mm dedicated AR lower that I SBR'ed. This is awesome looking but seems like it would be redundant for me to get. I was hoping they would make a .45 version.

Nice good, great deal. Good luck, please post when you get the form approved and SBR it.

kimberkid...

Where did you get the folding stock kit to use with the arm brace? I would like to use a Shockwave Blade on mine.
I picked it up at a gunshow a year of two ago ... it didn't come in any packaging but it looks just like this one; but if I remember correctly it was around $40 ... this one is half that;

You can get better folder assembly's from ACE but they cost more too because you would need the receiver block and the hinge

Is the rear of the CZ threaded for the adapter? I didn't think it was. Or did you get an adapter from CZ to replace the rear piece? Sorry for the obvious confusion, but I can't see, from the photos, how it mounts.

Thanks for the information.

The back of the receiver has slots (top to bottom) on the sides that a wrap-around trunnion/bracket fits on and a spring-button to hold it in place ... the original trunnion/bracket has a slot for a sling. The adaptor is about 1.5" longer and replaces this bracket, it has threads like the AR receiver for the extension tube ... I'll snap a picture of it when I get home if it's not too late

Here ya go, this is the one it comes with and you get one to replace it thats threaded for the AR receiver extension tube ... as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words!

Oh...okay...thanks! You get both! How cool! My LGS belongs to a good friend and he has offered me one for $10 over cost. (I keep telling him he NEVER makes money off of me, but he doesn't seem to care.)
