....but after buying and selling and trading and swapping and carrying.....

It appears the 9mm Commander in an Adams Leather pancake is going to fill the bill for, at least, another few years.

Why you say? Or even if you didn't say.

1. I can shoot it well and with confidence.
2. Runs like a champ
3. Capacity of 11 plus an spare Tripp mag should suffice
4. Pancake is comfy and very concealable
5. It's a Colt, and the older I get that just kind of means something to me.

Not a thing wrong with that Colt or holster set-up. I would do pretty much the same thing but in .38 Super. That way all I have to do is add a 9mm. barrel assembly and magazine and I can practice more with less expensive ammo.

Looks like a very good setup.

Is that a Crimson Trace I see on your 1911?

Yes, thanks, it's the basic 1911 Crimson Trace grip set.

I've tried a half dozen other CT's and this one fits my hands best, offers the best surface grip, and costs the least.

I carry Barnes HP's, both directly from Barnes and from CorBon DPX.

It shoots so well and seems to fit my hands perfectly, so I really enjoy shooting it and practice almost weekly.
