I have a revolver 11359 and I am trying to find the build date and model. I got it from an estate sale and have no history on it.

More information would also help. Barrel markings, patent dates, barrel length, caliber, etc. Does the owl on the grips face towards or away from the cylinder? That's a clue to the age of the revolver and whether or not it is safe to shoot with modern ammunition.

I believe it is an Iver Johnson Safety Revolver. This site has a lot of information.

Note that the owl head on early black powder revolvers faced the cylinder while later smokeless powder models had the owl head facing the backstrap of the grip. Which would indicated yours is safe with smokeless, but you should confirm this with your own research. There is a lot of information in the web if you google Iver Johnson Safety Revolvers or Owl Head revolvers.
