Yes, these are different. Mine has a pull pin and then the cylinder slides out of the frame. Load 8 rounds, put the cylinder back in the frame, line up the pull pin hole with the cylinder, reinsert the pin, and it’s ready to go ! The top break seems it would be tad faster to load, I’d say. I also have a HR 922 chambered for .22LR with a
2 1/2 barrel (it also was made with 4” & 6” barrel options) that loads the same way but, it holds 9 rounds. Mine was made in 1956, according to its serial number. From what I’ve read the HR 922 was very popular and many, many were made. It was very economical for the period. I’ve seen old ads from the ‘50’s, $28.95.
