Let me start this by saying that I come from a long line of gun nuts. We also have a hard time getting rid of things, so you never know what might have been passed down for generations...
I have come across an old hand reloading tool that I haven't been able to find out much information on. It is marked "J M Browning Ogden UT 44W". The best I have come up with is that this would have been JMB's second patent. Patented Oct 4, 1881 #247,881. Sold shortly after to Marlin and produced as the Marlin Loader. I have found reference to one other like it in my searching. Can anyone give me more information on how many of these might have been produced? Approximate value? Anything of use would be great as I've come to a dead end on my own efforts.

The condition isn't spectacular, but I think it's a neat piece

Marlin made 8,000 +/-, but ones marked Browning are extremely rare. I would say value would be considerable, relative to the world of antique loading tools.
