I am going to order a Ruger SR40 model # 3471 and I am asking for suggestions for a laser for it. Price is always a consideration but I am willing to also get my moneys worth for a quality product. Once it is proven for reliability it will replace my S&W 4003 as my nightstand gun. I love the 4003 but with my aging eyes I am wanting to see if a laser will help my shooting and while I am at it the 15+1 capability is something I want.
Right now I am leaning toward
LaserMax Spartan Laser Sight Picatinny-Style Rail Mount Matte
Anyone with any actual experience with these? I don't think I like the idea of having to remove from pistol to change the battery but maybe that isn't that big a deal. 40 Cal recoil is what it is but with the size and weight of this gun any quality laser should be able to hold up but are there any that I should stay away from?
I have also settled on green for the laser color.
This will be purely a nightstand gun so consideration for a holster isn't a problem.
