We all know .45 is the best and if you are going to own a 9mm it has to hold 85 rounds and that revolvers are old tech etc. and so on.

We all own, like, use, carry whatever certain guns that may not be the ideal weapon from a purely technical/tactical reason but we own and use them because we like them for some reason.

I will start. My quirk is....small guns.

I like small guns, especially single stack pistols and carbine length rifles. I have small hands and single stacks fit me great. I love my P225. As for rifles I like handy carbine type guns. M4s, short lever actions etc. I just like the looks and feel of them.

I realize that there are more practical handguns and more practical longarms but darned if I don't have a thing for compact firearms.

ummmmmm......10mm

I'm a BIG 10mm fan....there is something very kewl about a srvie pistol, small and comfy enough to CCW, that is powerful enough to hunt deer and Wild hogs with.......

Here in South Carolina, we have the longest Deer season in the USA[Aug 15th to Jan 1]...so it has its practical side too;)

Well I am very new to owning any firearms (I am in my early twenties) but I have always been interesting in them. I like my 10/22 'cause it is tons of fun and cheap to shoot. I want to build a AR-15 and I am looking to buy a couple of Walthers (P99 & P22) but I like just about anything that goes bang. The things that REALLY interest me are odd firearms like penguns. They are just plain cool. BTW if anyone knows where I can find REAL penguns for sale let me know.

My latest quirk is green guns. I keep buying OD green guns.....and knives...and flashlights. There's something wrong with me.

Help.

Pick up a copy of SAR(Small Arms Review) plenty of adds for pen guns and the like.

They are, however, classed as AOW or any other weapons by our benevolent maste......ahhh I mean the government so that means lots of paperwork but only a $5.00 tax on them.

Colt 1911s. I have not fired a more addictive handgun. My High Standard match .22 was fun too, but man those Colt .45ACP's.

Most pen guns will be restricted items not for sale tothe public.

I have one in .25cal that I picked up years ago which is legal as it has to be "broken" from it's profile [ of a pen ] which activates the firing mechanism and drops the trigger for access and use.

It sits in a drawer with all the other oddities I've gathered.

Mine is shooting my walther ppk .32cal. The only prob is that it only has a 7 shot mag, so when you start getting a feel for shooting it , it's over. ;( At least to me.

rubber grips

I dont like to shoot guns with wood grips ... just dont feel right. I replace all my grips with rubber at time of purchase.

Although there is nothing prettier then a well maintaned semi auto with cocoabola or rosewood grips all shiny and showing some nice grain.

I just dont like to grip the gun with them. I must sweat alot ... have to ask the wife.

I bad quirk ... I hate all S&W guns .... no reason ... just dont like. Predisposed for some reason I cant remember.

I too like small guns. My last rifle purchase was a Featherweight. Not exactly small, but smaller than my other rifles. Carbines and lightweight rifles always get my attention first.

I also like small handguns. Two of my three handguns are small. I make an exception for the GP100 because it's such a good "outdoors" gun for me.

I like fine leather, bluing, wood, etc. I've always wanted to own a double rifle or a custom '06 by David Miller.

I geuss it would have to be Plastic. Over the last 5-6 years I've bought 2 Glocks, a Bushmaster carbine, and a KelTec. I would have said black was my quirk but the KelTec is Olive.

I really like milsurp rifles. I think their cheapness is a major part of the attraction

I really like little .380 single-stack blowback autos. They are pretty much obsolete these days (you can get 9mm and .40s about the same size) but Bersas and Maks and the like are just fun. I can't explain it.

Mine's being tactical on a budget. I cant hold a candle to most AR15 gear junkies, but I'm pretty happy with what I've got. I sew my own tactical slings, gun rugs and gear bags, and I have a milling machine that I can use to (functionally) duplicate most stuff that catches my eye since I cant afford to buy the expensive stuff.

Old Colt revolvers and N-frames. Smith builds nice revolvers, but only the N-frames catch my eye. Just about any old Colt is worth having to me. I'm working on building a nest of snakes right now.
