WWII pair.
1944 1911A2 & Case 337Q. It and the Cataraugus 225Q being my all-time favorite U.S. Military Filed/Fighting knives.

I know the Q's have a reputation as *Quartermaster Knives* but I also know from my uncles and Ol' Man that they were highly sought after by combat troops for their robust nature owing to quartermaster use dictating that they have hammer-pommels and a blade able to stand up to prying open crates. In my own day, we bought every damn one we could find in the pawn shops and surplus stores.
They were originally shipped with left-handed sheaths which are highly valued these days.

Todd.

OK, that dagger is amazing. Do you have any additional info about the build?

Thank you for the compliment, but it probably looks more amazing than it is. Basically it was the first re-purposed knife/bayonet I ever did some 5-6 years ago now.
I had an old HK bayonet for years I didn't know what to do with, so one day I looked at it and wondered if I could modify it into some personalized dagger of sorts. So I looked around for a few different parts for a Viper snake themed project and went to work. Honestly had no idea exactly what I was doing, and just learned as I went along. It was a real challenging task to break/cut/grind the welded mounting bracket off the stripped bayonet, and then I just kinda built up the knife from there. Lots and lots of slow tedious hand sanding from 80 grit up to 3500 to get a nice finish on the Blue Snake Skin Juma grip material.
Here's a few pics to show a bit of it.

Don't sell your work short, man, that's far nicer than most of the custom builds I see on the knife sites I hang around.

Thanks kemikos, I appreciate the kind words.

Here's another couple mods I made with the same (different colors) Juma Snake Skin material. It is a re-profiled RTAK II (factory second dirt cheap) that had a severely damaged tip and dings in the spine, and I hated the handle profile and blade coating. The gun is my Charter Arms Boomer .44 Spec with Ivory Snake scale Juma grips I made as well. You can tell I love this Juma stuff. lol

Oh yeah, on the RTAK II, Underneath the scales/grips I used some thin Kirinite Starlite glow material for liners. Properly charged up, it glows bright for many hours. I shouldn't loose it at night anyway..
