I have a Win 94 in .357 and wish I'd opted for more gun, esp for hogs, deer, etc. I have not used it on any of the listed critters, but would like something a wee bit more stout in .44, 30-30, etc. of course if it was me I'd go for the 45-70.
I got the itch a while back and purchased a Rossi Puma 454. This is an awesome rifle chambered in an awesome caliber. It comes complete with a recoil pad (which it needs) and some of the worst sights I have ever seen. I quickly replaced the sights with Williams Fire Sights, mounted a sling, and it is now my favorite weapon.
The blue on the gun is very nice, almost purple, the dark Brazilian wood for the stocks is quite handsome. It is almost a black rifle...
