Locking gun box/vault

I'm in need of a small, portable gun safe/vault - something that will hold one full-sized pistol (1911 or SIG P226, for example). The goal is to be able to lock the whole thing down with a cable to my car interior, or in a hotel room. I don't intend to leave firearms alone in hotel rooms, but if traveling with my children I'd like to be able to lock up my pistol at night.

The Gun Vault Mini Standard with accessory cable lock looks ideal, but every online place I can find has them listed as backordered (heck, even the manufacturer lists them as backordered).

Any recommendations, or any idea who might have the Gun Vault in stock? The Aegis Industries box looks good, but that basic box plus cable looks to be priced in the $170+ range. I was hoping to keep this to around $100.
